Open your Mac's System Preferences. You'll find this option in the Apple menu at the top-left corner of the screen. You'll need to be using macOS Monterey or later to add an animated Memoji to the login screen. Click Users & Groups. It's the gray icon with two outlines of people. Click the account you want to edit. If you want to change your own profile picture to Memoji, click your name under "Current User" in the left panel. If the padlock at the bottom-left corner is locked, click it to unlock it first. If you have an administrator account, you can change the profile photo for any user who isn't currently signed in. Click the current profile photo. It'll be near the top of the right panel. Click the Memoji tab. It's the first tab at the top of the right panel. Select or create a Memoji. If you've already created a Memoji, you'll see it in the list of Memoji options. Click your Memoji, or choose any of the standard Memoji. If you're brand new to Memoji, click + to create a Memoji from scratch. Once you've chosen the look for your Memoji, select it from the list. Click the Pose tab to choose a pose. It's the second tab at the top of the right panel. Here you can choose the pose your Memoji will use on the login screen. Use the slider at the bottom-left to zoom in and out on your Memoji character. To edit your Memoji's features, click Edit at the bottom of the right panel. Click the Style tab to choose a color style. This is where you can select a color for your Memoji's background. Click Save to save your Memoji. Your Memoji will now appear alongside your username on your Mac's login screen. If you enter your password incorrectly a few times on the login screen, your Memoji's facial expression will grow progressively more angry.
