Alkaline water is considered to be hard water because it contains high levels of alkalizing minerals, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate, and other trace elements. Structured water contains all the minerals found naturally in water in appropriate quantities. Our normal drinking water has a balanced pH of 7, whereas alkaline water typically has more than 7- between 8 and 9. The structured water sometimes gets naturally alkaline when it passes over rocks and springs and dissolves some minerals, but in no case does it exceed a pH level of 8.
