It is located in the folder "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\". Open up the scenery.cfg file in notepad and scroll down to area 120. It should look something like this: Title=St. Your's MAY point to a different scenery area, but just check to make sure that the folder mentioned after "Local=" exists, and has files in it.
Where is the scenery CFG file?IIRC, the "active" Scenery.Cfg file is located within the main FS2004 (aka "FS9") install main folder location; however, the OP is citing FSX as his FS version above.
How do I open a CFG file in FSX?Look for the FSX folder and double click on it. The directory you are now in contains the SCENERY.CFG file, but since note pad only reads TXT files, you will need to tell it to list the other files as well. Look at the bottom of the notepad screen and click on TEXT DOCUMENTS (*.TXT) and select ALL FILES. You will now see the SCENERY,CFG file.
